First of all sorry, that I haven’t written for so long. But the last chemo nearly killed me and the minute mum left – Catrin (my best friend) arrived with her bouncing baby, Emily.
Now don’t panic, Catrin and the baby are fine and the silence is because we had such a great time. For the first time in ages I forgot I had cancer. Considering, I was still going to radiation every day – this indeed is a feat! But just chatting and gossiping with a good friend and playing with a baby makes the sun shine.
But the sun is no longer shining as my boobs have started burning!

I squeezed myself into my bright blue body mould. This mould is made especially for me and it is put on the radiation table, so that the position that I am in doesn’t change. It is soft but so uncomfortable and despite the ultra modern technology it seems like something out of the stone ages.
As I lay twisted and naked staring up at the huge machine that was about to blast my breast the nurse said,

I had a delightful and long meeting with my new doctor in Darmstadt Klinikum. He is the Dr. Born and is, as they say in German and Oberarzt (leading doctor).
After my crushing defeat to Chemotherapy, I am hoping that radiation serves me well. Dr. Born assured me that radiation will be a breeze after chemo, but (no offense to Dr. Born), I don’t take anything for granted anymore.
