Stopping Sugar day 7 to 14 – “you talking to me?”
Stopping Sugar day 7 to 14 … is the safe title … I wanted to call this “thinking of murder” but I thought I might scare somebody!
I am finally starting to feel normal again. Week 2 or day 7 to 14 of no sugar was terrible. Here is my diary.
The week was OK food wise. My cravings were gone and I didn’t feel like chocolate or anything else. But mentally things were going astray.
Day 7 – I am so ashamed to actually admit this. But I am happy my hubby stopped reading my blog a long time ago as I was googling how to kill him! I know it sounds terrible but I was so over-sensitive and frustrated. More than that I just was passive aggressive and it was awful. I felt myself saying and thinking things that just weren’t me.
Food: Still not stopped sugar completely but tried to keep under 15 grams. This failed as I didn’t realise that lemon water was full of carbs!
Day 8 - Vibrant dreams. Spent 3 hours in the gym but felt great afterwards
Food: For the first time I wasn’t binging after the gym. I made sure I ate protein straight after but had a delicious banana and 2 huge portions of Kholrabi to keep my fibre up.
Day 9 – So tired and fed up.
Food: Best food day kept sugar time to the lowest ever. Feelings of murder still there but not as bad.
Day 10 – OMG. Woke up feeling great. Couldn’t believe it when I got on the scales. For the first time in 10 days minimum weight loss. But WEIGHTLOSS - - unbelievable. It was shocking. I thought I would run naked through our garden!
Food – Another great protein rich day (basically copied everything I ate yesterday lots of peas and chicken and salad) with my new flax seed home made biscuits.
Day 11 – More weight loss. Feeling the best ever and my skin looks great and I am sweating up a storm!!!
Food: Not the best day as I couldn’t do any sport and worked the whole day. So I had a few too many nuts snacking.
Day 12 – No weight loss. But still happy
Food: Very bad day. Not sure why. Kept the sugar low but overdosed on Fat. 65% of my daily average. I know it was bad –but at least it wasn’t sugar! The problem is nuts… and olive oil. I love them both.
Day 13 – Out all day no exercise and surrounded by bad food. But didn’t get tempted. However, I did have two bananas which blew my sugar count.
Food: Bananas and lack of fibre as I was out all day. Hard to find good food for me, on the road. Main diet was grilled cheese and flax seed biscuits.
Day 14- So far so good today. A little tired but very hot and sweaty. Completed myfitnesspal.com – please friend me if you want to see my exact weight story. Maybe too much info ….but going to the toilet a lot… lot more than regulary!
No weight loss since Day 10 – but I have a feeling there will be some tomorrow.
Food: Started the day with a 3 egg omelette and have even thought about food. So no lunch yet.
