Just an update that my radiation has stopped. I never managed to finish the course because of the burn and dermatitis. But bisphosphonate therapy starts tomorrow. It is for six months I think its IV and some oral medication and then more IV in January.
My chemo symptoms are going. I still have a few black nails and my bones and muscles ache. I also still sometimes get the thrush of the mouth feeling but all in all I am on the mend. I just wish sometimes the pain would just go. Night time is the worst and out of the blue I can get dagger like pains everywhere.
Anyway, tomorrow is the last leg. I am still not normal - but I am getting there and I am feeling more positive.
Here is a picture of me - looking the most normal (I think) for a long time. My hair is coming back at last.
Lovely to see your smiling face. It was a relief to see you back again on the blog as you hadn't posted anything for a while. Good luck with the new treatment.
Thinking of you every day.
lots of love, Olivia
