I was just thinking about Action Engine today as I wrote the article about Medio ODP and hey presto here the company is with its own press release.
Action Engine has teamed with Movius a messaging and solutions company to create intuitive and personalised media applications.
From the press release
“Action Engine counts many of today’s top media brands as our customers, including AOL, Dow Jones, TiVo and MSNBC.com. Our partnership with Movius, which has established relationships with top wireless operators in more than 75 countries worldwide, greatly expands and accelerates the use of our Mobile Application Platform with wireless operators and other service providers across the globe,” said Scott G. Silk, president and CEO of Action Engine.
“We selected Action Engine as a strategic partner for our focus on new applications for the Interactive Mobile Media market because the company is a true leader in on-device portal (ODP) technology. Their cross-platform approach enables us to provide more personalized services across a wide variety of devices including Java, Windows Mobile, BREW and RIM,” said Oscar Rodriguez , CEO for Movius. “The inclusion of the Action Engine Mobile Application Platform into the Movius Ecosystem supports our new suite of mobile applications that give our customers a carrier-grade delivery mechanism to serve up a superb mobile user experience.”
What we think?
Well. This is some great endorsement for Action Engine. But I am not sure who Movius is and will have to do some digging on the company.
On a similar note the number of partnership and collaboration stories have increased to the extent that its necessary at the moment to leverage different services and solutions due to the huge potential that mobile can offer. A portal is not enough with out interaction and loyalty and all the other operator glue words rolled into one.
